Big Brother, CBS and a terrible terrible casting job

Let me embarrassingly preface this by saying I am a big brother fan and have watched since season 3. It is a show that envelops those who enjoy people watching. Ultimately, that is what I enjoy as a simple pleasure in life. Big Brother allows just that.

Big Brother airs on Sunday Wednesday and Thursday. All of it at all time low ratings, because of terrible casting. Too be honest, Big Brother Canada was more exciting and likable.

It is no secret that Big Brother has had issues in the past with self-evictions and force-able evictions in seasons past. From Willie to Captain Mike (not a euphemism). But, Big Brother also has a interesting way of casting. They have a token black guy, and more recently choosing to cast a homosexual man. Which is great, brings some issues to the forefront and in a way trying to show the world can coexist.

Until this year. They must've had some of the worst casting possibilities. They went with all of them. Excluding Andy, Howard, Helen, McCrae and Candace. Every person in there takes part in a weekly roundup of terrible racist comments. Although only 6 have made comments, the people who hear them laugh just as much as the person to make them. Putting television back nearly 14 years. (which was up to Donald Trump before that)

CBS has chosen to leave a horrible scar on television by not kicking these people out. Whether it is the abuse of the word "fag" or the multitude of racial slurs, CBS hasn't addressed it. In fact, they aired it on primetime just because TMZ had forced their hand. Everyone on social media speaks of Big Brother at some point, it is set ablaze this season. CBS should've evicted said people making racist comments. Unless, they truly enjoy the amount of attention it is getting from social media. Gaining strength in numbers from people who read about it on twitter and then tune in. The culprits have been fired from their regular jobs. Yet, cannot be fired from a internationally broadcasted reality television show.

Unfortunately, like everything in media today. It is all about shock value. They have that this season, it appears they are gonna run away with it.

Also, Big Brother Producers should have a word with people who say "retard", thus marring an entire subculture in one fell swoop. That word should also be cut from television and movies, but it never will.

I don't know how long this blog will last. But, I may write a few more of them.
